Strong Schools, Stronger Hoover

As a candidate for Hoover City Council, Place 1, I believe one of the most important responsibilities of local government is ensuring that our schools remain among the best in the state. I was proud—but not surprised—to read the 2025 Money Inc. rankings of Alabama’s top 30 high schools, where Hoover’s own Spain Park High School ranked 6th and Hoover High School came in at 13th. These are not just numbers—they are a reflection of the hard work of our educators, students, and the sustained commitment from our city to prioritize school funding.

Hoover High School

Top-rated schools are more than a point of pride—they’re the foundation of our community’s success. Families move to Hoover because they know their children will receive a high-quality education in a safe, supportive environment. That reputation has driven our city’s growth and economic vitality for decades. Businesses invest here because they know we’re investing in the future. It’s a simple formula: when schools thrive, communities do too.

But excellence isn’t automatic. It takes smart budgeting, responsible leadership, and continued collaboration with our school board to make sure our schools have what they need—whether it’s modern classrooms, competitive teacher salaries, safety resources, or up-to-date technology.
Equally important are the members of the Hoover Board of Education—appointed by the City Council—who help set the direction of our school system. I will only support and appoint board members who align with our community’s values and are committed to student success. As your city council representative, I will fight to ensure that school funding remains a priority—not just in word, but in action. Because falling behind is not an option for Hoover.

We must continue to support and celebrate the things that make our schools great. Our high rankings are the result of years of investment and community-wide effort. Let’s not only maintain that momentum—let’s build on it. Hoover deserves a future where every student, in every classroom, in every neighborhood, has the resources and opportunities to succeed. As your voice on the council, I’ll make sure our schools remain the heart of our community. #RobinForHoover
